Winners Announcement: Local Youth Sports Initiative, 2021!

We are ecstatic to announce the sponsorship recipients of our Local Youth Sports Initiative for 2021!

We received hundreds of nominations from all over Australia, shouting the praises of future sporting champions, big and small. Australia’s local Fruit & Veg shops have been long-term supporters of the community, which is why they united to give away over $32,900 in Sponsorships and runners up awards to help grow tomorrow’s champions. By shopping local, you’ve helped keep one of our longest surviving industries strong, the humble Fruit & Veg shop!

Below are a few examples of where the sponsorships will be going!

 

Our team is an inclusive team with some children diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. They have overcome so many obstacles last season and still managed to take the diamond with a smile

 Izla has defied the odds in so many ways and is a true champion! Doctors told her parents that she would never walk after being diagnosed with a rare form of Epilepsy! Izla defied those odds.

 West Coast Titans are passionate about the community & engaging young athletes in basketball. Providing young people with a safe, nurturing space where they can learn and form solid friendships. Even when not in COVID WCT helped children with shoes, uniforms, lifts and equipment. WCT believe each child should be able to participate in sport no matter the financial position.”
