‘A Better Choice’ supports members (retailers) with an aligned marketing and advertising strategy that targets consumers and highlights the benefits of shopping at an independent retailer.

Members maintain their business name and continue to operate as normal, but have the opportunity to access marketing material and advice, and be part of an industry movement that seeks to promote the benefits of shopping at independent retailers for consumers, retailers and the industry.

Every month, campaign activity will range from social media competitions to ambassador outreach and grocer profiling, all organised by FMA and CMAA. Members will be kept up-to-date with all activity through the website and emails to decide if they would like to participate in upcoming promotions.

The program is funded through the central markets and provides retailers with efficient and cost saving branding, marketing and advertising activities by creating a collective budget which is planned by Fresh Markets Australia.

We aim to promote positive messages and increase consumer engagement and loyalty to keep the Aussie fruit and veg industry thriving for generations to come.
