A better choice! Retailer, Sam Etri, continues to reap the benefits of his $20,000 bid at this year’s Mango Auction, with a phenomenal turn out at the opening of his third fruit and veg shop, Skippy’s Market Fresh at Rothwell. Etri was delighted with the response from shoppers when they visited his 1,000 m² store, the biggest on Brisbane’s northside.
Sam is a passionate supporter of his local community, employing 30 staff from the Moreton Bay area with the opening of Skippy’s Fresh Fruit being extremely well received by the local community. On the opening weekend, over 1,000 people per day visited the store to buy fresh, quality produce, sourced from the Brisbane Markets at Rocklea. Buying his fruit and vegetables daily from the Markets, means Sam can not only provide his customers with a large range of quality, fresh produce straight from thousands of Aussie farms, but is supporting local businesses and growers.
Sam and his business partner Nic were very happy with the public’s response to the store, the fresh fruit and vegetables at quality prices and the high level of customer service.
“Our team worked around the clock for the last couple of weeks leading up to the opening to make sure we had the best produce to offer the Moreton Bay customers to enjoy. I was blown away by the positive response, with many expressing that they loved the variety and value we offered,” said Sam.
“Some customers said that this is now their destination shop, from now on.”
Skippy’s Market Fresh also offer a wide range of speciality and continental products including cheeses, nuts, biscuits, cold meats and dried pasta. Skippy’s Fresh Fruit is located at the Rothwell Central Shopping Centre, Shop T1, 743 – 757 Deception Bay Road, Rothwell. Open seven days, 7am – 7pm.
