This Sponsorship is conducted by The Australian Chamber Of Fruit And Vegetable Industries Limited program ‘A better choice’ ABN 67 065 246 808 of 385 Sherwood Rd, Rocklea QLD 4106 (Promoter).

Nomination for sponsorship constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
All nomination instructions and sponsorship information published by the managing body form part of these Terms and Conditions.
The affiliated sponsorship is open to all Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australian, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory and Western Australian residents aged 18 years or over. The sponsor reserves the right to request any nominator to provide documentary evidence confirming their age and to disqualify any nominee who is unable or unwilling to provide such proof of age upon request. Employees and their immediate families of the sponsor and their agents are not eligible to apply for the sponsorships.
The application for sponsorships open from 12:01am AEDT on 1 October 2021, and ends at 11.59pm AEDT on 31 October 2021 (Nomination Period).

The initiative is a sponsorship based program, and nominations are accessed based on eligibility, nominator statement and applicability. Each valid nomination will be collated into the pool of their respective state and selected based on the statement.
To nominate, a nominator must, during the nomination period, visit this link which can be found online or instore, and:

(a) Input the requested information (as per ID), including the nominator’s full name, date of birth, email address, postcode, telephone number and your local ‘A better choice’ retailer;

and

(b) Nominate an eligible party, with a statement no more than 500 characters expressing their claim to sponsorship where judging is based on the statement.

(c) Sponsorship nominations and nominees must reside in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory and Western Australian only.

(d) Nominate a single qualifying Youth sports club/team/individual within participating states. Youth meaning individuals under the age of 18 who reside within participating states.

(e) This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on originality, merit and creativity.

Any nomination which:
(a) is received outside the Nomination Period or which fails to meet the requirements of clause 7;

(b) does not fully comply with these Terms and Conditions; and/or

(c) is incomplete, or otherwise unlawful,

is not a valid nomination and will not be eligible to gain sponsorship for their nominee.

The Sponsors will review the response provided by each nominator to the Sponsorship Criteria to ensure the response is comprehensible and does not violate these Terms and Conditions. Any response that is incomprehensible, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or unlawful may be disqualified, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Entrants who submit a nomination that is compliant with these terms will be accessed, with the sponsorships selected based on a nomination statement (Nominated recipient).
Nominations are only valid once per person, but multiple nominations may be received for a singular nominee.

(a) Nominators can only nominate once, on behalf of their nominated sports club.

(b) Irrespective of multiple nominations, the nominee/s can only receive one sponsorship total.

(c) Sponsorships are only valid for the period they were issued. The sponsorships will be distributed in a once-off capacity in the way of a debit card. The entrant may not submit under differing names or alias and in the instances of group sports, teams and clubs must be nominated, not the individual- this is an invalid entry.

The Sponsors decision in relation to any aspect of the sponsorship is final and will be binding on every person who nominates. No correspondence will be entered into in relation to any aspect of the sponsorship.
The selections will take place at the conclusion of the sponsorship nomination period and sponsorships are divided according to state allocations.
(a) Successful sponsorships will be contacted by the store that they nominated in the original application.
(b) The final selections are based on the judgement and jurisdictions of the managing states, with runners-up sponsorships selected on a nationwide merit system.

The successful nominees will be notified by the sponsor by email and mobile telephone after the statements are collated and reviewed, using the contact details supplied at the time of nomination.
If the nominator of the sponsored is unable to be contacted, or, upon being contacted and notified of their sponsorship, rejects the sponsorship for whatever reason, or does not claim their sponsorship in accordance with the notification or other instructions issued by the Sponsor within 7 days of being notified by the sponsor store, their sponsorship will be forfeited and an alternative delegate will be selected as per the unclaimed sponsorship clause below.
Where the sponsorship is unclaimed or forfeited, the sponsor will select an alternate recipient based on the same methodology as for the selection of the original selection criteria.
The nominated youth clubs/team or individual sponsorship will be allocated one of the below:

There are 5 different divisions for the local youth sports initiative that nationally will give away $25,000 of sponsorships and $7900 of runner up awards.

State-based sponsorship divisions:

Qld 10 x $500 = $5000 in total
NSW & ACT 10 x $500 = $5000 in total
Vic & Tas 10 x $500 = $5000 in total
SA 10 x $500 = $5000 in total
WA 5 x $1000 = $5000 in total

Nationally 135 x gift cards, (80 x $30 $55 x $100 = $7900 in total)

The sponsorships will be provided to the successful nominees within 28 days of the sponsorship nomination period concluding or unclaimed sponsorship reselection (as the case may be), by post or such other method notified to the nominator of sponsorship recipients.

(a) The sponsorships will be collected at the nominated retailer unless circumstances determine otherwise. Entrants can find their local retailer at this link.
Sponsorships are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash, and will be in the form for a loaded debit card
The nominator consents to the sponsor using and/or publishing the nominee’s (Individual, team, club) name and/or image, and/or quoting the nominator’s submission or any other statements, including for promotional purposes, in any form of media (including on social media). The nominator, nominee and their nominated store may be photographed and/or filmed during their receiving of the sponsorships, and it is a condition of acceptance of the sponsorship that the Nominator and their nominated consent to any use, publication or broadcast of such photographs or video.
Subject to any applicable law, regulation or permit condition, if for any reason beyond the control of the sponsor this initiative is not capable of running as planned, including for any reason which affects the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Initiative, the sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, (subject to any direction given by relevant regulatory authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sponsorships.
The personal information you provide in connection with the nomination will be collected, stored and used in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the Sponsors Privacy Policy, located at this link. By entering the sponsorship initiative all nominators agree to the use and disclosure of their personal information to third parties as specified in these Terms and Conditions and the Sponsors Privacy Policy. Where a nominator provides the personal information of any third party in connection with the nomination, the nominator warrants that the Sponsor’s use of that personal information will not breach the Privacy Act or any other law.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify any statutory consumer guarantees or any guarantee or implied condition or warranty the exclusion of which from these Terms and Conditions would contravene any statute or cause any part of these Terms and Conditions to be void (Non-Excludable Guarantees). The Sponsoring party excludes from these Terms and Conditions all guarantees, conditions, warranties and terms implied by statute, general law or custom. Except for liability in relation to a Non-Excludable Guarantee, the sponsor (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability whether arising in tort (including without limitation negligence), contract or otherwise for any personal injury or any other loss or damage whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the initiative, including, without limitation, the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction; (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any nomination or sponsorship claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their nomination to the sponsor); (d) any variation in sponsorship value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax implications; and/or (f) a sponsorship or use of sponsorship by a nominated recipient.
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Sponsor. If any part of these Terms and Conditions are held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, it will be severed and will not affect the remainder, which will continue in full force and effect.
