Fruity Capers already had its quirky name when Nuccio and Grace Camuglia bought the store in Toowong Village Shopping Centre 11 years ago, but it suits the Camuglias just fine – they’ve been in the fruit and vegetable business for more than 30 years! Nuccio says it’s his passion for fresh fruits and vegetables which has kept him in the business for so long – and now, it’s his expertise and eye for quality produce that makes Fruity Capers the best place for local shoppers to buy their fruit and vegetables. The store is especially popular with parents, with the vibrant colours of the fruits and vegetables on display tempting even the most health-food-averse kids to try a new taste or two; and with plenty of free samples always available, there’s plenty to discover at Fruity Capers year-round. The extensive deli section also offers a wide range of salads and deli meats to perfectly complement the fresh produce available.
