Hahndorf Fruit & Veg Market is a fully integrated marketplace offering a selection of meats, flowers, cleaning products, baked goods and other grocery items. However, it didn't always have such an extensive range! Hahndorf Fruit and Veg came into existence because of the hard work of two brothers - Pellegrino and Fernando Palma, and their wives, Marisa and Maria. The brothers grew up on their family farm deep in the mountains of Italy, learning all there is to know about growing produce. Both migrated to Adelaide and began growing many vegies such as cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, sweetcorn, potatoes - just to name a few! As demand for their delicious produce increased, and customers began asking for extra ranges, the two families saw an opportunity to create a one stop shop to answer all their customers needs. Today, the store's florist called Olive and Sage (inspired by the herbs and olive trees that surround the property) is well known for beautiful bouquets and gorgeous blooms.
