Hill Street is owned and run by brothers Marco, Nick and Nektarios Nikitaras and their families. Their passion for fresh produce and delicious food, and a flair for business, has seen Hill Street become one of Tasmania’s leading food retailers with stores in West Hobart, South Hobart, New Town, Blackmans Bay, Dodges Ferry, South Hobart, Latrobe, Longford, Devonport and Lauderdale.
The original flagship Hill Street store in West Hobart dates back 40 years, and the business has remained in the family since, where it has also expanded to include an online store which services the greater Hobart area as well as deliveries to some regional areas.
In late May 2015 a momentous move occurred, when Hill Street outgrew it's original home and an opportunity was presented to expand Hill Street beyond just a grocery store. The current West Hobart store now includes a home living section, a cheese room, kitchenware, homeware, an in-house florist, local handmade chocolates from The Cat's Tongue Chocolatiers, and the Hill Street Hamper range.
