Plums, peaches, cherries and mangoes are always popular in summer, while autumn brings watermelon, chard, rhubarb, Asian greens, zucchini, turnips, spinach and macadamia nuts. In the winter, mandarins, strawberries, papayas, sweet potatoes and eggplant are at their best (and most affordable) – while the Queensland locals are always happy to see the return of tropical favorites passionfruit and pineapple as a sign that spring is once again around the corner!
