Victoria Fruit Palace has been serving Ripponlea with fruit and vegetables for almost 100 years. It is the oldest existing fruit shop in metropolitan Melbourne. Today this fruit shop is owned and managed by Brothers Bill and Con who are second generation fruiters whose parents Harry and Stella Maglis started out here 1976.
This fruit shop has an extraordinary historic tradition, it is located in the heart of one of the last remaining handful of small strip shopping centers in Melbourne that have a heritage overlay, thus ensuring all of the original shops look exactly how they were built in 1915.
Our fruit shop has only been owned by seven families during its centenary of existence. Recently expanded and renovated our shop boasts fruit and vegetables of exquisite quality which can only be achieved by daily early market visits by Bill and Con to the wholesale fruit & vegetable market.
In the expansion of our core business we have added a variety of daily necessities such as bread, milk and a huge range of specialty products that complement our large deli and grocery section thus making this a one stop shop for our loyal customers.
