We are beyond lucky to have some epic food all around the world. No matter where you go travelling, you have access to so many different culture’s food and flavours. I’m sure we can all recall a dish we’re still dreaming about from a trip overseas years ago!
To celebrate World Food Day, we’re going around the world and giving you major food FOMO, from where you’d rather be.
1. Bali enjoying smoothie bowls
Full of fresh fruit, and homegrown spices, there is nothing better than a smoothie bowl on a hot day in Bali. Especially when they look like this!
- France eating croissants
Is there anything more French than croissants? Maybe escargot, but we know they’re not for everyone, so we’ll stick with the buttery, flaky goodness that is the croissant. The versatile pastry can be used for savoury dishes or sweets – both as good as the other.
- Italy devouring pizza
Pizza is always a fan favourite, but nobody does pizza better than the Italians. Eating pizza in Italy is most likely a bucket list item for a lot of people, and we can understand why. The cheesy, crunchy goodness that is authentic pizza is something that should not be missed.
- The US indulging in cheeseburgers
Okay, I know what you’re thinking, “Um, I’ve had a cheeseburger before…?” but there is nothing quite like an ACTUAL American cheeseburger. Something you have to try, but will probably be fine with just having one (they’re pretty heavy!)
- Mexico treating yourself to tacos
Mexico is full of some incredible food, but tacos are one of the best. Of course, we are talking the traditional tacos packed with authentic spices and flavours. Is there really anything better?
We hope you plan your next trip around food (your stomach will thank you for it!). Have the best World Food Day, and be sure to enjoy some yummy treats! We have lots of recipes here on the A Better Choice website with many different cuisine options to choose from!
