A Better Choice For Freshness

Fish is a year-round favourite and it’s definitely not hard to see why! Fish is incredibly versatile – it can be steamed, baked, fried, added to curries and soups. Some varieties can even be served raw. Here is a few of our favourite ways to cook fish during winter!

Oven-roasted

Oven-roasted fish is a foolproof winter dish. It can be roasted simply with just a drizzle of olive oil and salt and pepper, or it can be spiced up with other flavours like soy or garlic butter. Our favourite fish varieties to oven roast are salmon, rainbow trout and snapper.

Fish curry

Curries are definitely a favourite dish for households during the cooler months and it’s not hard to see why. They’re warming, tasty and reasonably cheap meal for the whole family to enjoy! Yellow fish curry, made with white fish fillets like blue grenadier is one of our all-time favourites.

Seafood marinara pasta

There’s nothing better than a warming bowl of pasta in winter. Delicious al dente pasta tossed in a luscious tomato sauce with some mixed seafood is a winning combination

Fish soup

Nothing spells winter more than a warm bowl of soupOne of the best fish soup recipes in our opinion is a delicious chowder – thick, hearty and creamy. Serve each bowl of soup with a side of warm crusty bread!

Fish cakes

Fish and potato make a master combination when it comes to fish cakes. They will become a family favourite as they’re packed full of flavour but are light and airy due to the mashed potato. Give Asian style fish cakes a go for a change!

We hope the above ways help inspire you this winter to cook with fish!
