Do you need a mid-week treat? Of course you do! Say hello to our Avocado and Potato Mash with Steak! Serve it up with a glass of red and you have yourself a fancy mid-week dish!

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Season the steaks well with salt and pepper. Add to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes each side to medium or until cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate and cover with foil. Set aside for 5 minutes to rest.
  2. Meanwhile, make the mashed potato. Combine the avocado and garlic in a small bowl. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the avocado mixture to the mashed potato and gently fold through to create a marble pattern.
  4. Spoon the avocado mash evenly among serving plates. Top with steak and serve immediately.

Tips: Make mashed potato and add some pumpkin, then stir through the avocado for a colourful change.
