This classic kids snack remains a firm favourite and for good reason! Not only is it a super popular flavour combination, this snack also contains a serve of vegetables and protein which in our book is a win win!
Get the kids involved in making these fun and easy to make ants on a log. They are the perfect snack to serve up after school, over the weekend or to take on your next picnic adventure! If you like, have the celery pre-chopped in advance, that way all the kids need to do is add the peanut butter and raisins making it a snack they can easily make themselves.
If you are after a nut free alternative you can swap the peanut butter with some creamed cheese along with a drizzle of honey. It may not quite be the traditional “ants on a log”, but is just as delicious!
- Wash and then cut the celery sticks into thirds.
- Fill the inside of each stick of celery with a generous amount of peanut butter and smooth out.
- Arrange the raisins on top of the peanut butter in a straight line so that it resembles “ants on a log”.
