- Place water and sugar into an oven proof saucepan, heat gently until sugar is dissolved.
- Preheat oven to 140C.
- Add in quinces, and all spices.
- Cover and cook for about 8 hours or until the quinces turn red.
- Store in a container with the syrup for up to a week within a fridge.
